Fencing classes are a great way to learn the basics of the sport as well as get fit whilst having fun. Our classes are suitable for total beginners, all that’s required is a t-shirt, jogging bottoms, trainers and a water bottle. We’ll provide the rest. By the end of both, you’ll have a good grasp of the rules, traditions, tactics and techniques. By the end of the beginners course you’ll feel able to fence with the experienced fencers at the club.
A taster class is a great introduction to the sport of fencing. One of our coaches will give you a brief overview of everything that fencing entails in a 2 hour session.
The beginners course is fantastic step up from the Taster class. Over 5 weeks, one of our coaches will teach you the fundamental aspects of fencing. Each 2 hour session will build on each other so by the end you’ll feel equipped to fence other experienced fencers at the club.
1:1 coaching from a coach is a benefit of a CLFC membership. Members can have regular 15 minute 1:1 lessons with a coach.
We also run private group sessions for corporate events, birthday parties and stag dos amongst others. Fencing is a great team-building event and way of energizing and motivating teams.
